This tune, especially that first line, “Born with nerves on top of the skin, a mind sharper than Shakespeare’s pen.” was inspired by my sister Mariel Buckley, and my youngest daughter. I think they are kindred spirits… It’s a song about fierce determination to overcome people that doubt you and the obstacles in front of you…a bit of recklessness in there too.
The musical performances here are spectacular and it’s nice to start off the record by showcasing this amazing band.
